Software Developer III - Cloud Platform (Back End, Authentication)

Location: Hybrid from an hirify.global office in Atlanta, GA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Lake Saint Louis, MO; or Mandan, ND. Work from an office at least 3 days per week, including Tuesday and Wednesday; the third required day is chosen by the candidate and supervisor. Up to all 5 days per week may be worked from the office.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance cloud-native applications and platform services using modern software engineering practices.
• Build and support identity, authentication, and access management solutions across hirify.global platforms.
• Create, test, and deploy scalable APIs, integrations, and backend services for enterprise applications and cloud infrastructure.
• Independently complete complex software maintenance and enhancements and translate advanced user requirements and designs into software.
• Partner with architects, engineers, product stakeholders, and development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement new features.
• Use generative AI tools and technologies to improve productivity, creativity, and problem-solving within the role.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development or infrastructure.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, and Angular.
• Experience building and running containers with Docker.
• Experience with Python and Terraform.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, modern DevOps practices, application security, and secure software development principles.
• Proficiency with Git.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of identity and access management, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, or SAML.
• Experience with AWS cloud providers.
• Experience with single sign-on and identity providers.
