Data Analytics Engineer

Location: Remote anywhere; company location: Calabasas, California, USA. Travel up to 5%.

Salary: $104,400–$156,700 annually, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with business and management teams to collect and analyze data and metrics that improve processes, profitability, customer insight, engagement, retention, revenue, and cost.
• Formulate hypotheses and design research to improve key performance indicators.
• Develop data architecture and integrity constraints with data infrastructure engineers for data collection pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
• Design, create, deploy, support, and document self-service BI reports, cubes, dashboards, data flows, logical diagrams, and physical diagrams.
• Manage and monitor Business Intelligence dashboards and support department initiatives.
• Ensure data sources across multiple servers and platforms are accurate and complete.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in technology, analytics, or Business Intelligence.
• Experience designing, developing, deploying, and enhancing high-visibility computer programs, analytics, dashboards, and reports.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and deploy stable, maintainable BI solutions.
• Understanding of distributed computing, data warehousing, data mining, business analytics, and software development.
• Experience with modern data analytics infrastructure such as MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, IBM Cognos, SPSS, TM1, Netezza, Oracle, OBIEE, or Financials.
• Knowledge of data structures, analysis, replication, and distributed or relational data and database mapping.
• Experience working with very large datasets and performing product- and business-level analysis.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data warehouses, RDBMS, and common BI tools and techniques, plus a strong background in computer science, statistics, and mathematics.
• Analytical thinking, strong data interpretation skills, collaboration, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced small-team environment.
• Ability to work safely in a general office environment, sit for extended periods, move around an office, and follow standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.
