Engineer I - Civil & Structures

Location: Avon, Minnesota, United States; onsite role supporting engineering and construction teams.

Salary: $68,684–$99,593 per year.

What you will do

• Support utility-scale solar and wind opportunities in estimating engineering, project engineering, and preconstruction activities.
• Assist Senior Engineers and Senior Project Engineers with project design through completion.
• Review engineering drawings, assist with civil and structural designs, perform quantity takeoffs, and support constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with Engineers of Record, vendors, suppliers, technical firms, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide construction teams with the design information, quantities, and specifications needed to build projects.
• Develop economical, safe designs that meet project design life, applicable building codes, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, or a related field, from an ABET-accredited college.
• Valid, independent authorization to work in the United States is required; H-1B visa and permanent residency sponsorship are not available.
• Designs must comply with applicable local, state, and international building codes and company best practices.
• Designs must comply with applicable safety standards, including NESC, NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and others.

Nice to have

• Engineer-in-Training certificate or Fundamentals of Engineering certificate.
• Previous engineering or construction/field-related experience in a related industry such as heavy civil, industrial, or utilities.
• Surveying experience.
• Renewables-focused experience.
