Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Electric Power Systems)

Location: Lewiston, Idaho, United States; onsite position.

Salary: $107,600–$161,500 per year for the Lead Manufacturing Engineer level. Manufacturing Engineer level: $89,400–$134,100 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for new product introduction, production readiness, process improvement, and manufacturing technology development.
• Lead manufacturing readiness for new products, including process planning, risk reduction, validation, and production launches.
• Analyze product and process designs using Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Automation principles to support safe, reliable, economical, scalable manufacturing.
• Lead root cause investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, production transformation efforts, and complex projects delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Establish best practices, develop engineering technologies, analytical approaches, business systems, and operational strategies that improve manufacturing performance.
• Provide technical guidance, participate in reviews, influence decisions across multiple products and facilities, and mentor developing engineers.

Requirements

• Engineering background with strong manufacturing expertise.
• Experience solving complex technical and operational challenges.
• Experience leading projects and cross-functional teams.
• Skills in quality, industrial, mechanical, automation, or new product introduction engineering.
• Use of data, Lean principles, and structured problem solving to deliver results.
• Effective communication and ability to develop others.

Nice to have

• Experience leading manufacturing readiness for complex products and influencing technical direction across teams and organizations.
• Experience leading NPI programs, implementing manufacturing technologies, and driving large-scale process improvement initiatives.
• Experience with PFMEA, process capability analysis, production system design, and Lean manufacturing transformations.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Power BI, manufacturing software platforms, Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Project.
• Interest in mentoring others, building organizational capability, and establishing best practices.
