Supply Chain Manager (Robotics)

Location: On-site in the Carson, CA office, Los Angeles area. Must have authorization to work in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization throughout employment.

Salary: $100K–$180K annually. The role begins as a 6-month contract position; extension or conversion is not guaranteed.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end procurement operations, including supplier sourcing and negotiation, purchase orders, fulfillment tracking, and coordination with logistics and deployment teams.
• Build procurement systems and tools providing visibility into open purchase orders, vendor commitments, and lead times as deployment volume grows.
• Evaluate, select, onboard, and manage suppliers against cost, quality, engineering, and delivery requirements.
• Partner with engineering, product, manufacturing, quality, and logistics stakeholders to translate requirements into sourcing and purchasing plans.
• Analyze demand forecasts connected to robot and mobile robot deployments and report procurement metrics, cost savings, and sourcing effectiveness.
• Use AI-enabled procurement and data tools to automate reporting, identify spend and lead-time anomalies, and accelerate sourcing research.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a purchasing or procurement manager in a hardware and/or electronics business.
• Experience building procurement systems and processes from the ground up, ideally in a startup or rapid-growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability to source, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts, including resolving delivery defaults against fixed lead-time commitments.
• Ability to operate independently as a self-managed individual contributor and involve the appropriate stakeholders in decisions.
• Strong budgeting, cost optimization, negotiation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with procurement and vendor management software and systems.
• Authorization to work in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization from hire through the duration of employment.

Nice to have

• Procurement or supply chain certification such as CPSM or CSCP.
• Experience with global sourcing, logistics, and cross-border supply chain management.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools for procurement metrics and spend tracking.
• Experience using AI tools for sourcing research, spend analysis, or procurement reporting.
• Experience partnering with engineering or manufacturing teams on product and part requirements.
• Experience at a smaller company or as an early startup employee with ownership of the full procurement lifecycle.
