AI Deployment Lead

Location: San Francisco, San Francisco Bay Area; hybrid. Regular travel to customer sites is expected, particularly during discovery, launch, and adoption. The role focuses on financial-services clients across the United States.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional delivery from discovery through production and sustained use, managing priorities, delivery cycles, dependencies, risks, and commitments.
• Work with practitioners and sponsors to understand workflows, prioritize valuable problems, and define product specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Build user and senior stakeholder relationships, lead organizational change, drive adoption, and verify sustained use of deployed AI workflows.
• Agree measurable outcomes and baselines with clients, track deployment value, and address quality or adoption issues after launch.
• Own day-to-day client relationships, communicate with senior sponsors, and partner with commercial colleagues on account expansion.
• Build or adapt prototypes, test consequential AI output, evaluate technical trade-offs with engineers, and help turn recurring customer needs into reusable capabilities.

Requirements

• Track record of owning complex enterprise programs through production and adoption, with clear examples of personal decisions and results.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, coordinating multiple workstreams, and building trusted relationships with senior clients and end users.
• Hands-on AI fluency, including using AI in professional work and understanding its limitations, data flows, evaluation, human review, and technical trade-offs.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into useful first releases, make scope trade-offs, and connect delivery to customer value and account growth.
• Experience driving behavioral and process change in large organizations, aligning competing incentives, and earning adoption without direct authority.
• Clear written and verbal communication, willingness to learn an unfamiliar domain, and initiative to resolve gaps independently.

Nice to have

• Financial-services experience.
• Commercially minded operating experience in consulting, enterprise software, or other complex industries, with evidence of learning a domain and delivering lasting results.
