Company

hirify.global develops reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems for human spaceflight.

What you will do

  • Manage the end-to-end material planning cycle, including MRP action messages, demand forecasts, planned orders, manufacturing orders, purchase requisitions, and production schedule alignment.
  • Control inventory of PLC hardware, I/O modules, terminal blocks, connectors, cable, enclosures, and consumables, including min/max levels, reorder points, safety stock, cycle counts, and serialized or lot-controlled traceability.
  • Coordinate procurement, vendor delivery schedules, purchase order status, late shipments, cross-site transfers, project transfers, and material requirements for manufacturing orders.
  • Analyze MRP metrics, shortages, schedule risk, inventory valuation, stockouts, delivery performance, commodity spend, consumption trends, and operating-plan projections.
  • Support ERP functionality, reporting, training, stockroom setup, labeling, storage, ESD-sensitive component handling, and continuous improvement of planning accuracy and material availability.
  • Support engineering change impact assessments and material planning actions for fabrication of control panels, electrical enclosures, and cable harnesses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of production planning, material planning, or supply chain experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience working directly in an MRP or ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of MRP logic, including demand netting, lead-time offsets, planned-order management, and safety-stock calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, engineering drawings, and parts lists to determine material requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency for demand forecasting, BOM analysis, and inventory reporting.
  • Strong proficiency with digital tools and ability to use AI and automation to develop, improve, and streamline planning processes and tooling.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform receiving, shelving, and material-handling stockroom duties.
  • Ability to obtain badging at a government installation and meet the stated U.S. citizenship, permanent-resident, refugee, or asylee eligibility requirement.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of material planning or supply chain experience in aerospace, defense, industrial automation/controls, or another high-reliability production environment.
  • Experience managing electrical or electronic component inventory, including PLCs, I/O modules, connectors, cable, and enclosures.
  • ASCM/APICS certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
  • Experience with Coupa procurement workflows and Windchill or similar PLM for BOM management and engineering change tracking.
  • SQL or data-query experience for spend analysis and inventory reporting.
  • Experience with Lean inventory methods such as kanban, pull systems, or point-of-use staging.
  • Knowledge of ESD handling requirements for sensitive electronic components.
  • Experience supporting a greenfield shop startup, including initial stockroom layout, vendor relationships, and inventory processes.
  • Experience with DOD, USAF, NASA, or orbital launch vehicle environments.

Culture & Benefits

  • Safety, collaboration, inclusion, quality, and commitment to safe human spaceflight.
  • Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Paid parental leave, up to four weeks of paid time off per year based on scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
  • 401(k) with company match of up to 5%, Education Support Program, and stock options for regular employees working at least 20 hours per week.
  • Benefits and bonuses may vary by role type and job level and are not guaranteed.
