Senior Strategic Finance Business Partner (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is available to new employees.

Salary: $234K–$260K base pay annually, plus equity, performance-related bonuses for eligible employees, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Inference researchers, Scaling, Product, and Data Science teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize inference optimization opportunities.
• Assess trade-offs across model performance, latency, throughput, engagement, customer outcomes, and compute cost.
• Drive cross-functional strategic initiatives by establishing ownership, coordinating work across teams, and tracking execution.
• Build performance metrics, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to identify inference gaps and quantify financial impact.
• Partner with Compute Finance and Strategic Finance teams on compute demand forecasts, capacity planning, investment decisions, and financial projections.

Requirements

• Technical academic background in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or current experience partnering closely with research or engineering teams on technical problems.
• 8–10+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy and operations, strategic finance, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with experience turning ambiguous problems into actionable recommendations and measurable impact.
• Executive presence and communication skills to build credibility with researchers and engineers, align stakeholders, and explain technical and financial trade-offs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and experience building processes and independently driving initiatives from idea through execution.
• Technical curiosity and enthusiasm for frontier AI and inference economics.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, cloud computing, or technical performance optimization.
