Sr. Software Release Project Manager (Scaled Agile / Device Development, Systems Integration)

Location: On-site in Concord, Ontario, Canada. Other listed locations: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Annual salary: CAD 125,000–135,000, plus eligibility for bonus/incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead platform and application software planning, control, and coordination for a development team or release train using Scaled Agile practices.
• Lead system-level integration across software, firmware, instruments, peripherals, and third-party components while driving team ownership and accountability.
• Collaborate with Software, Firmware, Hardware, Service, and Research functions to resolve project needs.
• Coordinate concurrent hardware and software development programs through integration, validation, and commercial release readiness.
• Support platform evolution by balancing feature delivery, technical debt reduction, scalability, maintainability, and product lifecycle objectives.
• Prepare project communications, status reports, visual management, progress metrics, and performance measurements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• 7+ years of engineering-sector experience as a software engineering professional and/or project manager. Experience with both Agile and Waterfall software development environments is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing system development and integration projects with multidisciplinary teams covering embedded hardware, firmware, and control/processing software.
• Experience managing platforms that support multiple products, configurations, device variants, or customer workflows.
• Ability to assess technical trade-offs and risks involving scope, architecture, performance, usability, reliability, maintainability, and release readiness.

Nice to have

• Experience with systems engineering and product architecture.
• Experience with platform or enterprise software development.
• Experience with concurrent project execution in a shared code base.
