(Senior) Consultant Energy - Pricing & Sourcing

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands; work from home, the client, or the Amsterdam office. A work permit cannot be provided, and non-Dutch speakers will not be accepted.

What you will do

• Advise energy suppliers and trading organizations on commercial challenges related to the transition toward the New Energy Reality.
• Work on energy sourcing, pricing, trading, and portfolio management projects.
• Improve the financial results of sales and sourcing departments and define organizational improvements.
• Support vendor selection for relevant IT systems and investment decisions for new or more efficient business activities.
• Combine business analysis, project management, and stakeholder management while collaborating with business and IT stakeholders.
• Contribute to the Energy team through strategy, business development, recruitment, knowledge sharing, and training.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with strong analytical development.
• At least 4 years of experience as a consultant.
• Relevant experience in the commercial domain of the energy sector, such as at an energy supplier or trading organization.
• Familiarity with energy sourcing, pricing, trading, and portfolio management.
• Understanding of client stakeholder challenges and the ability to bring stakeholders across the organization together.
• Understanding of energy market developments and their impact on value-chain actors.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics and the ability to quickly build expertise in these areas.
• English and Dutch communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to process information, identify problems and trends, and solve complex problems.
• Fast-learning, communicative, flexible, and entrepreneurial mindset.

Nice to have

• Previous consulting experience for an energy supplier or trading organization.
• French and German communication skills.
