Senior Drafter/Designer - Water Infrastructure

What you will do

• Use 2D and 3D computer-aided design applications to develop and record designs as models and drawings.
• Evaluate design intent provided by professional engineers and translate it into models and drawings.
• Assist with larger and more complex assignments involving conventional plans, investigations, and surveys.
• Support projects involving water and wastewater treatment, stormwater and drainage, pumping, piping and pipelines, chemical storage and dosing, and minor structural and civil elements.
• Work with stakeholders across all levels and facilitate individual and group discussions to support collaborative design performance.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Experience in design within civil water, pipelines, drainage, and/or land development.
• Previous consulting, design, or technical experience in water infrastructure and linear pipeline design as a designer.
• Extensive drafting and design experience in the general mechanical/process engineering sector using various software, preferably AutoCAD.
• Associate degree, Diploma, Associate Diploma of Design or Engineering, or a similar para-professional qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of local industry standards and the relevant market sector.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and facilitate group discussions.
