Applied Science Project Engineer (Process Safety)

What you will do

• Support Applied Science projects in process safety management for oil and gas, petrochemical, EPCM, consulting, and industry clients.
• Perform fire load response analysis, hydrocarbon fire modelling, gas dispersion analysis, safety management systems work, safety case support, and qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
• Conduct seismic assessment and design, as well as blast analysis and design.
• Prepare project proposals and support business growth.
• Manage projects to deliver on time, within budget, and within scope.
• Present results and recommendations to clients, explaining their value and implications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
• 5–10 years of experience in process safety engineering or a related discipline.
• Excellent understanding of fundamental principles and strong problem-solving ability.
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency is required at the time of application.
• Willingness to learn new skills, listen to the problem, and remain open-minded about solutions.
• Passion for tackling new and interesting problems.
