Consultant Data Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design and manage cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including storage, compute, cost optimization, role management, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including clusters adapted to Data Science workloads.
• Develop server-side Python tools for bulk data processing, REST APIs, authentication, and related services.
• Manage CI/CD integration and deployment for applications, internal platforms, and client Data Science projects.
• Develop ETL scripts in Big Data environments and implement infrastructure and services for Machine Learning model development and deployment.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree with a strong quantitative component, such as Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Quantitative Finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering.
• Good Python skills and a solid foundation in other programming languages.
• Familiarity with at least one SQL DBMS, ideally PostgreSQL, and ideally a NoSQL database such as MongoDB.
• Comfort using Docker and automating CI/CD pipelines, with a strong willingness to gain Kubernetes expertise where needed.
• Ability to work in a DevOps culture and take responsibility for the full code lifecycle from development through deployment and maintenance.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools, ideally Terraform.
• Experience implementing application protection solutions, including certificate management, HTTPS security, OAuth2 authentication, and credential management.
• Strong interest in data and AI topics, ability to build expertise quickly, excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, and excellent written and verbal English and Dutch.

Nice to have

• Experience with at least one cloud services platform among GCP, AWS, and Azure, including mixing multiple services within one project.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Mastery of the GitLab-CE ecosystem.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or another NoSQL database.
