AI Platform Engineer (Azure)

Location: Partially remote, Hoofddorp, North Holland, Netherlands

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI infrastructure and services for the bank's Atlas data and AI platform.
• Build infrastructure aligned with monitoring, networking, security-by-design, privacy, auditability, and governance standards.
• Prototype emerging AI infrastructure components and translate them into enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, data governance, regulatory, and platform teams.
• Build templates and reference implementations and support teams consuming AI platform services.
• Implement cloud-native solutions, CI/CD pipelines, platform automation, and integrations between AI services, AKS, and supporting platforms.

Requirements

• Strong platform engineering skills on Azure, including networking and IAM with Entra ID.
• Knowledge of Azure AI services and Azure API Management.
• Experience with reliability engineering for AI platforms, including observability, scalability, and availability.
• Solid Python background for troubleshooting and prototyping AI technologies.
• Experience with DevOps best practices, version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of generative AI, LLMOps, security and governance, cost and token tracking, and rate limiting.
• Understanding of AI concepts including agents, RAG, evaluation, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with observability and monitoring using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Security and governance awareness, a Developer Experience mindset, systems thinking, and architecture modelling skills.
