HSE Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Lincoln, RI, United States; onsite manufacturing environment with site inspections required.

What you will do

• Conduct workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Support the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
• Participate in employee safety training and awareness programs.
• Track and analyze incidents, near misses, audits, and other safety performance metrics.
• Investigate accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support waste management, energy efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least sophomore-level standing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform site inspections.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance.
