Program Manager II (Aerospace and Defense)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States; in-office environment. The role may involve occasional travel and requires U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Oversee program integration for multiple complex projects and major systems, covering customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report technical execution, project status, risks, issues, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program and project staff and build cross-functional teams to fulfill program requirements.
• Lead proposal activities from initial customer interaction through requirements definition, estimates, negotiations, and contract award.
• Coordinate business resource planning, audits, stakeholder interfaces, and program meetings.
• Support the Program Director and Business Operations while ensuring cost, budget, schedule, financial, technical, and legal objectives are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for the degree, requiring at least 12 years of related experience without a degree. A higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• At least 8 years of progressive project or program management experience in the Commercial Aviation or Aerospace and Defense industry.
• At least 3 years leading medium-scale projects with 1–2-year scopes and teams of 5 or more cross-functional members.
• Experience evaluating requests for proposals or quotes and preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals or quotes.
• Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and program management practices.
• Financial acumen and the ability to coordinate all elements of program integration management.
• Ability to identify, assess, and control financial, technical, and legal risks; manage complex situations; delegate authority; lead teams; drive innovation and collaboration; and adapt to changing situations.

• Project Management Professional certification.
• Commercial flight operations experience.
• Organizational Change Management experience.
• Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
• Understanding of application tools and data architectures.
• Ability to reinforce the use and application of corporate project management tools.
