Sr. Program Coordinator (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Mojave, California, United States. Domestic travel is required as needed, typically under 20% and estimated at under 10%. The role follows a 9/80 schedule.

Base salary: $93,000–$142,000 annually.

What you will do

• Coordinate execution across engineering, operations, procurement, finance, and test organizations in line with program plans.
• Integrate multidisciplinary inputs into schedules, deliverables, trackers, dashboards, and customer-facing materials.
• Coordinate customer technical interchange meetings, onsite government partner visits, briefings, status reports, and formal program reviews.
• Maintain program documentation, configuration compliance, review materials, contract deliverables, and awareness of budget constraints.
• Identify risks, delays, schedule conflicts, resource gaps, and dependency issues; coordinate mitigation plans and track actions through closure.
• Guide junior coordinators, review work quality, and improve coordination processes, reporting structures, and execution standards.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of direct program coordination experience in aerospace, defense, or technical program environments.
• Strong understanding of defense acquisition basics, contract deliverable processes, and technical program lifecycles.
• Experience managing complex action-item matrices, multi-source reporting, or customer-facing deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordination across diverse technical teams and customer stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to self-direct daily priorities.
• Ability to assess the program landscape, prioritize urgent and important matters, and communicate priorities to teams and leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, with 5–10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice to have

• Experience interfacing with DoD customers, defense contractors, or regulated technical programs.
• Familiarity with CDRLs/SDRLs, IMS alignment, or earned value concepts.
• Experience with MS Project, Jira, or equivalent project management tools.
• Experience supporting aircraft operations, flight test, or integration-related programs.
