Director, Program Management Excellence (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Greenville, Plano, or Rockwall, Texas, United States; 25% travel within the continental United States or overseas based on business needs.

What you will do

• Lead the Program Management Excellence team for the ISR Sector across a business portfolio exceeding $4 billion.
• Oversee predictable program execution, performance analysis, reporting, cost and schedule baseline planning, and program health activities.
• Drive program management best practices, policies, processes, tools, and staffing across division programs and proposals.
• Oversee program management training, certification, rotational programs, training metrics, and instructional coordination.
• Organize gate and independent reviews, support sector and division reviews, and manage program management support priorities.
• Collaborate with segment and corporate program management functions to develop and disseminate policy, tools, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 13 years of relevant experience; or a graduate degree and at least 15 years of related experience; or at least 19 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
• Demonstrated business acumen and the highest level of technical mastery in the functional area.
• Leadership capability to guide business or functional teams without a formal management role.
• Experience in program management, proposal management, program planning, and EVMS.
• Ability to present important topics to executives and management.
• Ability to work independently, identify problems, and propose solutions.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across geographically dispersed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience managing Profit & Loss.
• Experience providing instructional training to program teams.
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of the Business Acquisition Process.
