Electrical Engineering Technologist

Location: On-site in Concord, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 81,500–89,000 annually, plus eligibility for bonus/incentive pay

What you will do

• Support Electrical Designers and Engineers in developing and qualifying research- and engineering-grade electrical hardware.
• Collaborate with Electrical Designers and procurement teams to evaluate electronic component suitability and availability.
• Generate bills of materials, prepare component kits for rapid prototyping with PCBA contract manufacturers, and maintain laboratory stock.
• Register and organize equipment and maintain calibration records.
• Develop and operate engineering-grade test fixtures under the supervision of Electrical Designers.
• Test, debug, and repair electrical modules and circuits during hardware qualification.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma or equivalent, with strong hands-on electrical experience in research-grade or rapid-prototyping environments.
• Proficiency in cable harness assembly and SMD/through-hole soldering.
• Proficiency with common electrical development tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators.
• Knowledge of building and operating custom electronics test setups.

Nice to have

• Eligibility for or membership in a certified engineering technologist association, such as OACETT.
• Experience with Electrical and Mechanical CAD software.
