Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Location: Redondo Beach, California, United States; on-site. Must be willing to work at or relocate to the Redondo Beach location. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, refugee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations under United States Government Space Technology Export Regulations.

What you will do

• Create, update, and maintain financial models, operating forecasts, budgets, and three- to five-year financial projections.
• Perform variance analysis by comparing historical results with budgets and forecasts, explaining performance differences, and identifying improvements.
• Lead program budgets, baseline controls, earned value management systems, and required internal and external finance reporting.
• Evaluate program and product opportunities, profitability, ROI, capital allocation, inorganic growth opportunities, and investment plans.
• Develop proposal finance support, including cost volumes, bases of estimate, and roll-ups for non-recurring efforts, recurring efforts, and materials.
• Extract and consolidate large datasets, develop dashboards and key metrics, and prepare executive reports to support decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college.
• 5+ years of financial planning experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work at or relocate to Redondo Beach for an in-office position.
• Experience developing and implementing financial budgets and forecasts.
• Ability to analyze data and synthesize complexity into clear insights for decision-making.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and other departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while handling multiple responsibilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to make broader contributions and create financial and business insights in a growing company.
