Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A (R&D)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $104,500–$167,600 USD annually, depending on US location, plus annual bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Drive the monthly close process, analyze performance, prepare variance commentary, and assess accruals, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage headcount and expense planning, monthly forecasts, and the annual operating plan.
• Analyze the P&L, identify performance drivers, and develop strategic narratives and ad hoc analyses.
• Partner with R&D and finance leadership on budgets, strategic trade-offs, and data-driven decisions.
• Identify opportunities to automate, accelerate, and improve finance processes using AI.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related analytical role.
• Experience with financial modeling, strategic business planning, and executing financial plans.
• Strong understanding of FP&A fundamentals, including variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, headcount management, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to finance and non-finance audiences.
• Ability to work autonomously, solve problems, and operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
