Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A (R&D)

Location: US Remote

Salary: $111,800–$167,600 USD for Zone 1 locations (CA, CT, DC, MD, MA, NJ, NY, VA, WA); $104,500–$156,700 USD for all other US locations. Additional annual bonus, equity, and benefits are included.

What you will do

• Drive the monthly close process, analyze monthly performance, prepare variance commentary, understand accruals, and identify risks and opportunities for finance and R&D leadership.
• Manage headcount and expense planning, monthly forecasts, and the annual operating plan.
• Analyze the P&L, diagnose performance drivers, develop strategic narratives, and deliver ad hoc analyses.
• Partner with leadership on budget decisions, strategic trade-offs, and data-driven recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and improve, automate, and accelerate team processes.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related analytical role, preferably at a high-growth technology company.
• Experience in financial modeling and strategic business planning, including creating and executing robust financial plans.
• Ability to solve problems and work autonomously in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Strong understanding of FP&A fundamentals, including variance analysis, variance storytelling, budgeting, forecasting, headcount management, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to finance and non-finance audiences.
• Active use of AI tools to work faster and perform deeper analysis.
