Sports Hospitality Event Manager

Location: Houston, TX; other listed locations include Austin, TX, Columbus, OH, and Dallas, TX. Workplace type: Office. Travel up to 30% for on-site event support; evening and weekend work may be required for events.

What you will do

• Plan and execute sports hospitality and client entertainment programs across professional and collegiate sports, golf tournaments, premium seating, suites, sponsorship activations, receptions, and destination experiences.
• Manage events from concept through post-event reconciliation, including timelines, logistics, transportation, accommodations, catering, gifting, ticketing, guest communications, and on-site delivery.
• Develop premium event concepts that strengthen brand positioning, client engagement, and the guest experience.
• Manage relationships with sports organizations, venues, agencies, ticketing partners, hotels, transportation providers, hospitality vendors, and other external partners.
• Manage budgets, contracts, invoices, expense tracking, financial reporting, vendor sourcing, negotiations, and event documentation.
• Partner with Marketing, Communications, Sponsorships, executive leaders, and internal business stakeholders; use Cvent for invitations, registration, attendee management, communications, and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
• 5+ years of experience planning and executing sports hospitality and/or client entertainment programs.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Experience with professional or collegiate sports, golf tournaments, premium seating, suites, sponsorship activations, or VIP and client experiences.
• Experience managing multiple sports hospitality or client entertainment programs simultaneously.
• Experience working with sports organizations, venues, agencies, hospitality providers, ticketing partners, and external vendors.
• High-touch client and VIP guest experience delivery, including vendor management, contract management, budgeting, financial reconciliation, and negotiation.
• Financial services event planning or client entertainment experience.
• Proficiency in Cvent and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Experience partnering with executive leaders and senior business stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organization, project management, multitasking, real-time problem-solving, composure in high-pressure guest-facing environments, and attention to detail.
