TL;DR
Senior Data Engineer (Healthcare): Building scalable healthcare data integrations, transformation pipelines, and domain models for Accorded’s Acumen product with an accent on data integrity, analytics delivery, and healthcare claims and eligibility data. Focus on designing cloud data warehouse solutions, implementing rigorous testing and observability, and using AI-assisted development responsibly.
Location: Remote within the United States. Candidates must live in and be authorized to work in the United States. is located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

What you will do
- Build, maintain, and optimize healthcare data integrations and transformation pipelines.
- Design and implement domain and business logic models for the Acumen product.
- Apply robust testing and data quality practices to preserve data integrity.
- Collaborate with actuarial, product, and engineering teams and work directly with customers on integrations and troubleshooting.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold rigorous engineering standards, including responsible AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience working directly with data products.
- Hands-on experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial healthcare data, preferably claims and eligibility or enrollment data.
- Strong SQL and Python skills with extensive experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL.
- Production experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Experience supporting an analytics product and an analytics delivery team.
- Ability to use AI development tools effectively and responsibly, including rigorously testing AI-generated code changes.
Nice to have
- Professional experience with dbt.
- Experience implementing automated data testing and monitoring frameworks such as Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, or dbt tests.
- Experience in early-stage or startup environments with high autonomy and direct product ownership.
- Customer-facing experience with technical integration scoping, data onboarding, and troubleshooting.
