Senior Service Designer (Service Design)

Location: United Kingdom; candidates must be within reasonable travelling distance of a hirify.global office and be open to working at a hirify.global or client site at least 2 days per week. Offices are located in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London and Bristol. Relocation support of up to £8,000 is available.

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning for client services and ensure alignment with business and user needs.
• Design new service propositions and improve existing underperforming services from end to end.
• Create service maps, value propositions, service blueprints and other artefacts to articulate service goals.
• Facilitate groups, represent the customer perspective and simplify complex cross-departmental information through visual communication.
• Advise on organisational problems, translate concepts into tangible deliverables and manage dependencies across teams and departments.
• Build strategic client relationships, contribute to the service design Community of Practice and potentially line-manage colleagues.

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in designing services end to end and improving existing services.
• Essential experience working with service or product owners and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to take a pragmatic approach to meeting client needs and work primarily on self-initiated assignments.
• Confidence explaining how user research and service design analysis support design decisions.
• Ability to manage relationships and build long-term strategic partnerships.
• Advanced experience with Agile delivery.
• Ability to create trust and authenticity in teams and respond to challenges.
• Ability to work across organisational, technical and situational boundaries and deliver at pace.
• Ability to work within the stated UK office and client-site travel requirements.

Nice to have

• Government Digital Service or public sector experience.
