Cyber AI Governance Director

Location: New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Charlotte, San Francisco, Dallas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, or Boston, United States. Hybrid role requiring in-person attendance at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site; travel as needed.

Base salary: $217,580–$281,494 per year.

What you will do

• Lead complex, client-facing AI governance and AI security engagements from strategy through implementation.
• Advise senior stakeholders on AI risk, governance, security, and responsible AI.
• Design governance operating models, risk and control frameworks, policies, standards, and AI use case assessment processes.
• Assess AI and generative AI applications for data protection, access, model and application security, prompt and output handling, third-party risk, monitoring, and human oversight.
• Manage engagement teams, develop junior professionals, and maintain responsibility for quality and delivery.
• Support proposals, solution development, thought leadership, business development, and client relationships related to AI governance and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certification such as CIPP, CIPM, CISSP, CISM, or another related certification.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting.
• Experience with AI governance operating models, AI risk and control assessments, AI policies and standards, use case governance, third-party AI risk, and AI security.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, ISO/IEC 23894, OWASP guidance for LLM and generative AI security, and MITRE ATLAS.
