Associate Director, Governance Risk and Compliance for Data, Data Products and Digital Solutions (AI Governance)

Location: Hybrid, primarily USA - Pennsylvania - North Wales (Upper Gwynedd); 10% travel required. No relocation assistance and no visa sponsorship.

Salary: $129,000–$203,100 annual base salary for the primary location; annual bonus and long-term incentive may apply.

What you will do

• Lead governance, compliance, privacy, and responsible AI practices for data, data products, and digital solutions across their full lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, guidance, SOPs, and controls for ethical and compliant use of data and AI-enabled solutions.
• Partner with business, technical, privacy, legal, and compliance stakeholders to embed governance into delivery processes and decision-making.
• Support responsible AI through transparency, accountability, documentation, and oversight of AI use cases and outputs.
• Assess governance, privacy, compliance, and risk issues; track remediation and support continuous improvement, audit readiness, and enterprise risk management.
• Provide training and enablement while supporting data quality, stewardship, access, metadata, and documentation practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Six or more years of experience in data governance, compliance, privacy, risk management, AI governance, or related roles.
• Experience with data governance, data products, digital solutions, and Agentic AI-enabled programs.
• Ability to develop policies, standards, SOPs, and governance processes.
• Working knowledge of data management, including data quality, metadata, security/privacy, and master data management.
• Ability to identify and manage governance, compliance, privacy, and risk issues.
• Strong communication, collaboration, influencing, writing, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to drive change, continuous improvement, and adoption in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment.
• Understanding of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and guidelines; experience developing and delivering training and guidance to broad audiences; ability to build trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting IT, data, analytics, or AI solutions in a complex or regulated environment.
• Experience with privacy and data protection practices, compliance training, reporting, and remediation activities.
• Experience in healthcare or life sciences.
• Experience with quality management systems and pharmacovigilance compliance.
