Director Field Security Technology (Federal/Civilian)

Location: United States (Remote)

Base salary for US-based candidates: $167,600–$301,800 per year. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

What you will do

• Act as the primary security and cloud-edge product contact supporting sales across Federal Civilian accounts.
• Build a Federal and Civilian customer community and relay feedback on product roadmaps, capabilities, compliance, and mandate requirements.
• Lead engagements with journalists and industry analysts, including Gartner and Forrester, in support of PR and analyst-relations teams.
• Represent security industry trends and hirify.global's security portfolio at civilian-focused public-sector events.
• Educate customer-facing organizations on Zero Trust, Identity, Credential and Access Management, API Security, and AI Runtime Defense.
• Serve as the solutions-architecture voice for Federal/Civilian solutions and support capture and proposal teams as a named technical thought leader and SME.

Requirements

• Over 12 years of relevant cybersecurity experience and a background in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working cross-functionally with field teams, customers, partners, C-suite executives, and senior government stakeholders to drive product strategy.
• Expertise in edge-native security, Zero Trust architecture, and reducing complex attack surfaces.
• Experience securing distributed workloads through Zero Trust frameworks, protecting hybrid environments, and addressing emerging threats across diverse operational landscapes.
• Knowledge of AI Runtime Defense, including security challenges affecting live AI models and agentic workflows.
• Experience evangelizing and driving cybersecurity, edge defense, and technical initiatives across the broader public-sector community.
• Knowledge of Federal/Civilian Cloud, FedRAMP Moderate/High, and Trusted Internet Connections.
• Willingness or ability to obtain the required security clearance.
