Lead Technical Architect (Cloud)

Location: Greater Manchester, United Kingdom; candidates must live within reasonable travelling distance of a hirify.global office and be open to working at a hirify.global or client site at least 2 days per week. Relocation support of up to £8,000 is available.

What you will do

• Define and promote architectural vision, standards, and best practices across the delivery practice.
• Advise senior client stakeholders, including C-suite executives, on long-term technical strategy.
• Lead complex technical engagements, providing architectural oversight and quality assurance.
• Mentor and coach technical architects and senior engineers.
• Lead technical responses for bids, support pre-sales, and shape new business opportunities.
• Make and communicate architectural decisions across multiple projects or clients, while contributing to thought leadership.

Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience as a Technical Architect, including a proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformations.
• Expertise designing and implementing complex architectures across major Public Cloud platforms, including multi-cloud strategies.
• Strategic understanding of cloud-native technology stacks, with hands-on Kubernetes and advanced CI/CD experience.
• Extensive Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform for complex deployments.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with C-suite and executive-level stakeholders.
• Expert-level knowledge of cloud security, networking, and governance principles.
• Consultancy experience, including pre-sales, proposals, and business growth.
• Mastery of Agile ways of working and experience leading teams to success.
