Senior Consultant, Regulatory Compliance Management

Location: Toronto, ON; Job Location: Toronto-81 Bay, 31st Floor. The work arrangement and proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Support regulatory oversight by researching and analyzing regulatory requirements.
• Build relationships with Oversight Function partners and support RCM processes, controls, and deficiency management.
• Analyze regulatory compliance management libraries and data to identify opportunities for program enhancement, efficiency, and improved data quality.
• Help develop and review RCM methodologies, guidelines, templates, training materials, job aids, and communications.
• Support the Director, RCM, with reporting and metrics used to measure regulatory compliance risk.
• Lead or participate in RCM strategic initiatives and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in audit, internal control, reporting, legal, or compliance functions within a financial institution.
• Good knowledge of the business and regulatory environment applicable to financial institutions, particularly regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills for developing creative solutions to complex problems.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, decision-making, and the ability to investigate complex problems and interpret detailed information.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, take ownership, lead initiatives, and deliver results.
• Legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, hold a valid work or study permit.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance policies, procedures, and methodologies.
• French proficiency may be assessed during the hiring process.
