Senior Manager, Global Logistics and Transportation (Hybrid - Acton, MA)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work required at an hirify.global office in Acton, Massachusetts, United States.

Annual base salary: $136,900–$205,300 for U.S.-based positions. Incentive compensation may also be available.

What you will do

• Lead transportation and logistics strategy and provide direction to teams in the United States, Malaysia, Costa Rica, the EU, and the UK.
• Manage daily domestic and international logistics operations, transportation providers, carrier relationships, budgets, freight costs, and monthly freight accruals.
• Analyze freight costs and transportation lanes to improve lead times, service levels, cost efficiency, and delivery performance.
• Develop processes, reporting metrics, monthly KPIs, cost forecasts, and performance updates for senior leadership.
• Prepare tenders and RFPs and participate in carrier rate negotiations to expand or improve service partner capabilities.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Distribution, Procurement, Finance, distributors, carriers, and other external partners.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, and Transportation Management, or an MS degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and critical-thinking skills, including knowledge of freight payment and statistical modeling techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent professional communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with vendors, carriers, and logistics service providers.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and third parties through demonstrated expertise.
• Strong service orientation and ability to manage operational budgets and financial cost controls.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with SAP software.
