Corporate FP&A Lead (AI)

Location: In-office 5 days per week in San Francisco, CA, United States, within walking distance of Caltrain.

What you will do

• Own annual operating plans, long-range plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly performance reviews, and the corporate operating model.
• Lead monthly business reviews, explain variances, surface risks and opportunities, and provide decision-ready insight to leadership.
• Partner with leadership, Sales, GTM, Engineering, Operations, G&A, and Accounting on budgets, headcount, COGS, close processes, and budget-versus-actuals.
• Prepare board and investor materials and help shape the financial narrative for the business.
• Model infrastructure and compute economics, evaluate vendor commitments and pricing, and assess capital-allocation trade-offs.
• Build scalable FP&A systems, dashboards, automated reporting, and AI-native workflows using Factory's tooling.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or consulting.
• Strong technical foundation in three-statement modeling, driver-based modeling, and long-range planning.
• Strong command of annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and monthly and board reporting cadences.
• Experience preparing board and investor materials and translating complex data into clear narratives for executives and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical rigor and judgment when evaluating financial opportunities, risks, and trade-offs.
• Fluency in SaaS and usage-based financials, including gross margin, COGS, operating expenses, headcount planning, and board-level metrics.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a high-agency, hands-on approach in a lean, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to form clear recommendations, communicate trade-offs, and demonstrate strong executive communication with low ego.
• Ability and motivation to build AI-assisted workflows and automation into finance work.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial planning and BI tools such as Pigment or Anaplan.
• Background in AI, ML, or cloud infrastructure economics.
• Experience supporting capital raises or IPO readiness.
• Experience translating between GAAP and non-GAAP metrics.
• Experience scaling a finance function and team through rapid growth.
