SAP Project Systems Functional Consultant (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Remote; U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance. Limited travel may be required for client-site and implementation activities.

What you will do

• Configure and customize SAP Project System functionality, including Work Breakdown Structures, networks, activities, relationships, milestones, project templates, and standardized project structures.
• Design and support project planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring, reporting, cost planning, budgeting, resource management, capacity leveling, billing, revenue recognition, results analysis, settlement, and closeout.
• Integrate SAP Project System with SAP Transportation Management, Controlling, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Financial Accounting, Plant Maintenance, and Production Planning.
• Analyze business requirements, facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders, and translate requirements into functional SAP solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications, process and configuration documentation, and end-user materials; conduct training and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Support testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, troubleshooting, production support, and system enhancements in collaboration with technical and functional teams.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance are required; active clearance is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Three to five years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting SAP Project System solutions.
• Experience configuring SAP Project System master data, Work Breakdown Structures, networks, activities, relationships, and milestones.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, project costing, cost planning, budgeting, billing, settlement, revenue recognition, results analysis, and integration with SAP modules.
• Experience with resource planning, capacity leveling, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Project Builder, Project Planning Board, and Project System reporting tools.
• Experience supporting testing, data migration, implementation, and production activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills; excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management, documentation, presentation, and professional presence.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, understand client needs, adapt creatively when solving problems, and work effectively with clients and teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP Transportation Management integration with SAP Project System.
• Experience with claims management and progress analysis.
• Basic knowledge of ABAP.
• Experience with SAP Fiori or SAPUI5.
• SAP Certified Application Associate credential in SAP Project System or a comparable SAP certification.
• Project Management Professional certification or a similar project-management credential.
• Customer-focused requirements analysis, solution delivery, and production support experience.
• Strong customer and vendor relationship skills and demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
• Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies, past experience with a federal government agency, and Department of War experience.
