Staff Full Stack Engineer & Enterprise Solutions Architect (Java/AWS)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or in-office within the United States or Canada; travel may be required to the corporate headquarters in Denver or other North American offices. Candidates must be eligible to work without sponsorship.

Annual base salary: $160,000–$190,000 CAD.

What you will do

• Lead requirements discovery with Finance, HR, People, and Sales Operations stakeholders and translate operational needs into end-to-end architectures.
• Build functional proofs of concept and drive production implementation across enterprise systems.
• Design and maintain Java 17/21 and Spring Boot microservices, REST and GraphQL integrations, and event-driven architectures in AWS.
• Develop internal dashboards, admin consoles, and workflow automation portals with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Java backend services.
• Mentor Software Engineers and Senior Software Engineers, lead architecture and code reviews, and establish engineering standards.
• Build AI agents, RAG pipelines, and MCP connectors, while providing L3 support, root-cause analysis, and permanent remediation for critical data flows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a staff, tech lead, or principal capacity.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers, conducting code and design reviews, and driving engineering best practices.
• Deep production expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, distributed microservices, multithreading, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong working knowledge of TypeScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3 for end-to-end internal tools and interfaces.
• Hands-on integration and data-model experience across at least two major enterprise domains: Finance/Order-to-Cash with NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe, or Coupa; HRIS/People Operations with Workday; or Front Office/CRM with Salesforce.
• Deep expertise in AWS and serverless architecture, including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Deep experience with enterprise iPaaS tools, especially Workato, or MuleSoft/Boomi, plus REST, webhooks, and custom connectors.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and data lake or warehouse concepts such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, SAML, mTLS, Okta SSO/SCIM, ITGC, SOX, and SOC 2, plus the ability to communicate with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Backend development experience with Go and/or Python, including FastAPI, Flask, or asynchronous I/O.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, LangChain4j, OpenAI or Claude APIs, vector embeddings, or MCP connectors.
• Experience with Terraform, AWS SAM, or CDK.
• Experience with high-volume transaction reconciliation, financial month-end close acceleration, or Lead-to-Revenue billing migrations.
