EA - Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, United States

Salary: $96,153.85–$130,000 USD annually, depending on experience

What you will do

• Design and implement features for fundraising, compliance, and election-readiness workflows.
• Participate in architecture and system design decisions for complex features and subsystems.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, performant code and third-party integrations.
• Use AI coding tools, write clear specifications, and review AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with product management and cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

• Approximately 5 years of software engineering experience or a strong equivalent foundation.
• Understanding of web scalability challenges and solutions.
• Ability to work independently on complex, ambiguous problems and propose solutions.
• Experience mentoring peers and participating in architecture discussions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; current or future employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• 7 or more years of software development experience.
• Strong JavaScript and React skills, with proficiency in C# and ASP.NET.
• SQL Server experience, especially performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Redis, ElasticSearch, third-party APIs, or AI/LLM-powered product features.
• Political software, campaign technology, or election-readiness experience.
