Senior Full Stack Engineer (React/TypeScript/Node.js/AWS)

Location: Remote in the United States; candidates near hirify.global offices may choose fully remote or hybrid work with in-office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Occasional business travel is required. Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: $153,000–$166,000.

What you will do

• Design and deliver user-facing features and backend services with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS, focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Build and operate systems supporting digital assessments, including student testing experiences, proctoring tools, authentication, test delivery, telemetry, resilience, and secure content packaging.
• Translate product requirements into testable components and drive features from concept through production.
• Build infrastructure as code with AWS CDK and support environment-specific deployments through CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, design, platform, and Agile teams through planning, design discussions, code reviews, and delivery.
• Write automated tests, troubleshoot production issues, document shared patterns, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in full stack development, including building, testing, and managing web-based applications.
• At least 3 years of recent hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
• Experience building serverless AWS applications using services including Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, S3, Step Functions, IAM, CloudFront, WAF, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with modular, component-driven architectures.
• Experience using AWS CDK for infrastructure as code and integrating it into deployment pipelines for environment-specific deployments.
• Experience building and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, including reusable workflows shared across services.
• Experience with automated testing; Playwright is preferred for this work.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Grafana, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Experience working in Agile environments, strong collaboration and communication skills, problem-solving ability, curiosity, and willingness to learn and adapt.

• Authorization to work in the United States.
