Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Remote in the United States

Base salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement robust, scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Build interactive, accessible, and responsive frontend interfaces in collaboration with UX/UI designers.
• Define development practices including code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
• Translate product requirements and use cases into technical solutions with the product team.
• Debug issues and optimize performance, scalability, and security across frontend and backend systems.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose applications for current and future development.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience, with hands-on expertise in React and TypeScript for production frontend applications and strong Node.js backend experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, system design, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Strong RESTful API design and integration skills, including versioned contracts, authentication and authorization, and reliable third-party API consumption.
• Experience designing schemas, writing performant queries, and managing migrations in MySQL or PostgreSQL, plus modeling and querying DynamoDB and working with cloud data platforms.
• Working familiarity with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, and RDS for deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting cloud-native services.
• Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes or a similar orchestration environment, plus general cloud infrastructure experience.
• Modern frontend engineering experience covering accessibility, responsive design, and browser performance optimization.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
