Banking Services Operations Associate IV - Commercial Doc Prep (Hybrid- Burlington, VT)

Location: Hybrid position in Burlington, Vermont, United States of America.

Salary: $20.55–$34.25 hourly (USD).

M&T Bank provides banking services supporting Commercial, Business Banking, and Private Banking lines of business.

What you will do

• Analyze commercial documentation preparation requests, including credit approvals, to determine closing package requirements.
• Order and review required due diligence in accordance with approval terms and Credit Policy requirements.
• Prepare complete legal documentation packages and deliver them to Relationship Managers for execution.
• Coordinate with lending staff, internal counsel, management, Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Operations Management to resolve missing or unclear information.
• Complete standard document preparation requests, receive training on higher-complexity packages, and image working files for the official record.
• Maintain risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control standards, escalating risk-related issues to management.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and at least 1 year of work experience, or a combined minimum of 3 years of higher education and/or work experience including at least 1 year of work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to prepare commercial and personal-use transaction closing documents in accordance with Credit Policy and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to understand loan approvals, borrower structures, due diligence requirements, and document preparation procedures.
• Ability to complete quality reviews and communicate with lending, legal, compliance, sales, operations, and management groups.
• Ability to work under tight time frames and identify issues requiring escalation.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Paralegal experience.
