Senior Financial Analyst (NBC Sports)

Location: Hybrid in Stamford, Connecticut, United States; requires working from the Stamford facility at least four days per week. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.

Salary: USD 80,000–90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Prepare and manage production budgets for upcoming NBC Sports seasons and assigned properties.
• Attend budget meetings, coordinate follow-up, and work with Scheduling on staffing schedules and budgets.
• Support annual budgeting, pacing, reporting, estimates, LRP, and variance explanations.
• Own assigned monthly close processes, including journal entries, variance analysis, and post-close reporting.
• Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice coding, approvals, payment status updates, and vendor coordination.
• Actualize production budgets, maintain cost-tracking models, reconcile expenses to the General Ledger, and prepare financial analyses for operators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and functions.
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and partner with stakeholders across the business.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP and BPC.
• Background in accounting and close cycles.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to communicate financial insights clearly, concisely, and compellingly.
• Experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
