Temporary People Business Partner

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Salary: Approximately $3,000 per week; the stated range applies to NY/CA and may vary by hiring location.

What you will do

• Advise agency leadership and departments on people, talent, performance, organizational, and workforce matters.
• Contribute to the Senior Leadership Team agenda and drive people priorities linked to agency OKRs, headcount, and financial goals.
• Manage employee relations issues from coaching and performance plans through exits, including difficult conversations and policy compliance.
• Plan talent, skills, headcount, full-time, temporary, and freelance needs with Operations and Finance; support recruiting pipelines, internal mobility, succession, and leadership onboarding.
• Help lead the Q1 performance review cycle, facilitate calibration, advise on ratings and feedback, and support compensation decisions and engagement survey planning.
• Maintain a weekly transition log and coordinate people changes with People Operations and the hirify.global PBP.

Requirements

• 5+ years as an HR or People Business Partner supporting senior leaders.
• Experience working across multiple business functions with first-line and senior leadership.
• Proven ability to handle employee relations matters across the spectrum, including performance plans and exits.
• Confidence leading difficult conversations with managers, employees, and executives.
• Ability to ramp quickly, work from existing plans, and make sound decisions with limited history.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and written communication.
• Strong coaching and consulting, business acumen, organizational savvy, decision-making, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and change management skills.
• Collaborative, positive, resourceful, and team-oriented approach focused on creating a positive work environment.

Nice to have

• Advertising agency experience, ideally partnering with agency leadership.
• Experience supporting creative talent and creative leadership.
• Prior interim, leave coverage, or consulting engagements.
• Familiarity with compensation planning, career ladders, and talent differentiation tools such as a 9-box.
• Experience supporting executive onboarding or leadership transitions.
• Experience executing strategic initiatives and operational plans.
