Requirements & Verification Engineering Consultant (F/M/X)

What you will do

• Define, analyse, document, and maintain clear, traceable, measurable, and verifiable technical requirements based on system needs, stakeholder input, and applicable standards.
• Review technical designs, models, and documentation from external engineering suppliers.
• Define and perform verification activities covering functional performance, mechanical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, reliability, and other technical aspects.
• Review verification results, identify gaps, and support resolution of non-conformities.
• Perform and contribute to risk assessments, including FMEA and DFMEA, and identify potential failure modes.
• Collaborate with engineering, testing, quality, manufacturing, and service teams while owning deliverables in multidisciplinary Agile project teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in requirements engineering, systems engineering, design verification, or testing.
• Proven experience writing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documentation in a structured engineering environment.
• Experience translating technical and stakeholder needs into clear, testable requirements.
• Experience reviewing designs and verifying compliance against defined requirements.
• Familiarity with risk analysis methods such as FMEA and DFMEA.
• Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or another environment with stringent quality and safety requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive, analytical, and structured working approach, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with clients and international teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical-device industry.
• Knowledge of IEC 60601 or other relevant industry-specific safety standards.
• Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
• Experience working with external suppliers and reviewing supplier deliverables.
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe ways of working.
