Forward Deployed Engineering Team Manager (Healthcare)

Location: New York City Office, New York, USA; collaboration from the Hudson Square office 4 days per week.

Salary: $170K–$190K per year.

What you will do

• Lead a team of forward deployed engineers and own delivery outcomes across the team’s accounts, including time to first outcome, milestone predictability, adoption, and account health.
• Review scoping and architectures, require dry runs for high-stakes architecture reviews, demos, and UAT, and inspect live customer calls to coach execution.
• Hire and develop engineers through weekly 1:1s, evidence-based reviews, 30/60/90-day ramp expectations, and documented growth plans.
• Handle escalations by diagnosing root causes, setting direction, coordinating fixes, and coaching the team to prevent recurrence.
• Support difficult architecture and workflow problems, act as the final scoping gate for pre-sales engagements, and identify post-sale risks before contracts close.
• Translate recurring account patterns into product signals and communicate roadmap priorities back to the team.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing a team of implementation, solutions, or technical delivery professionals.
• Track record of successfully delivering complex customer implementations. Healthcare or healthcare technology experience is preferred.
• Strong technical judgment in architecture and workflow design, with the ability to guide builds without taking them over.
• Ability to inspect work and maintain a high quality bar, including when the work appears acceptable.
• Clear communication with customers and executives, including surfacing risks and trends early.
• Experience partnering with Product to turn recurring field patterns into roadmap priorities.
• High ownership mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
