Engineering Manager (Healthcare)

Location: United States; remote. US citizenship or Green Card required, with US residency for at least the past 3 years. Must be able to pass a US Government background investigation and meet Public Trust requirements. Visa sponsorship is not available.

hirify.global develops and maintains software for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Quality Reporting program.

What you will do

• Manage and lead one or more software engineering teams.
• Hire, evaluate, coach, and support the career development of engineers.
• Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align engineering work with product vision and business goals.
• Drive efficient processes, technical standards, resource planning, and recruitment.
• Contribute to architecture, software development, and code reviews while fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience managing and leading software engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and team building.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Databricks, Go, or Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Strong project management skills and a record of delivering projects on time.
• US citizenship or Green Card, US residency for at least the past 3 years, and eligibility for Public Trust clearance are required.
