Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist (Insurance)

What you will do

• Support the European FP&A team with the bottom-up three-year Budget and Q1, Q2 and Q3 Forecasts from business and legal-entity perspectives.
• Coordinate planning data submissions, work with data owners and support cost-centre owners across European Functions, Projects and Technology.
• Prepare planning outputs including P&Ls, expense breakdowns, GWP evolution and packs for senior management, including ELT and QBR discussions.
• Analyse profitability drivers and variances between Budget, Reforecasts and Actuals, providing insights to business stakeholders.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis, document processes and contribute to process reviews, change and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Knowledge of non-life insurance accounting, including how P&L and Balance Sheet items drive results and how rate changes, retention, loss ratios, commission ratios and combined ratios influence performance.
• Significant experience in Planning, Management Information (MI) and/or performance management.
• Experience working in Finance, ideally in a multinational and multilingual environment; insurance or financial services experience is advantageous.
• Ability to deliver high-quality outputs while managing a high volume of deliverables under time pressure.
• Results-driven, creative, proactive, logical and innovative approach, with confidence to challenge existing ways of working.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interpret results, communicate key information and build stakeholder relationships.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and plan workload, work independently, take ownership, contribute to a team and operate across geographical boundaries in a matrix environment.
• Approximately five years of experience supporting or delivering a Business Planning agenda.
• Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard Microsoft Office tools, good ERP experience, and the ability to learn additional Business Planning systems.
• Fluent English and flexibility to travel where required.

• Working knowledge or experience with Oracle Finance Applications, a core Business Planning system at hirify.global.
• Additional European languages, including Dutch, French, German, Spanish or Portuguese.
• Previous Finance experience in an international or multinational environment.
• Experience initiating and facilitating process change and improvement.
