Financial Controller

Location: Hybrid work from Portugal, Poland, or Romania; remote work is permitted within the country.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and budgets for the Duisburg service unit.
• Generate KPI reports and financial dashboards for management decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and internal control standards.
• Monitor cost development, overheads, hourly rates, service project costs, revenues, and margins.
• Conduct variance analyses and drive corrective actions with project managers.
• Manage accruals, deferrals, account reconciliations, month-end closing, cash-flow analysis, and working-capital optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial controlling, project controlling, or a similar corporate finance role.
• English is essential.
• Experience with project controlling, cost accounting, FP&A, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO or other ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel and data visualization skills using Power BI.
• Stakeholder management, communication, analytical thinking, problem solving, and intercultural collaboration skills.
