Salary: $112,710.00–$183,140.00 per year.

Company

Develop technology solutions for machine collision mitigation and avoidance systems within the Integrated Technology Solutions division.

What you will do

  • Design and develop C++ application software on embedded Linux, including camera and radar processing pipelines.
  • Define and manage software and system requirements, interface specifications, and architecture tradeoffs across sensing, compute, and machine integration.
  • Install, commission, and calibrate cameras, radar, compute, and data acquisition hardware on machines; plan and execute data collection at proving grounds and customer sites.
  • Build and operate HIL benches and develop Python-based automated validation tooling that converts collected data into repeatable pass/fail results.
  • Document architecture specifications, software designs, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures.
  • Debug, test, and maintain software and hardware systems; lead verification and validation, apply FuSa and SOTIF practices, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with hardware, supplier, and testing teams.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools, with the ability to write, design, test, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain source code and computer programs using C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle and structured methods for delivering and managing software products.
  • Knowledge of software product testing and the ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies that ensure quality and adherence to requirements.
  • Knowledge of requirements elicitation and specification, with the ability to define, document, and manage system and software requirements and interfaces.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic approaches, tools, and instrumentation, with the ability to isolate faults across electrical, sensor, network, embedded, and machine domains.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving approaches and the ability to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
  • Knowledge of effective verbal, written, and documentation practices, with the ability to communicate technical status and risk to cross-functional and global teams.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded, machine, autonomy, ADAS, or robotics systems, including hands-on hardware integration and validation.
  • Experience with radar and camera data processing, perception, computer vision, or machine learning.
  • Experience with CAN and Ethernet datalinks and CAN diagnostics tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, and ETAS INCA.
  • Experience with the NVIDIA toolset, including CUDA, TensorRT, and the Jetson/Thor ecosystem, and GPU-accelerated pipelines.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards including ISO 13849, ISO 25119, IEC 61508, and ISO 21448.
  • Experience with sensor calibration, ISO compliance, VR analysis, GTest, HIL/SIL environments, robotics middleware, MATLAB/Simulink, machine operation, application knowledge, and interpreting electrical schematics.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits, subject to plan eligibility.
  • Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and volunteer time.
  • 401(k), HSA, FSA, disability, life insurance, parental leave, and adoption benefits.
