Company
hirify.global is developing electrified, digitized pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.
What you will do
Own quality performance for assigned vehicle assembly processes, production areas, or vehicle systems from prototype builds through launch and series production.
Analyze quality trends using Pareto analysis, SPC, root-cause analysis, 8D, and DMAIC, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and maintain layered quality-control plans, inspection standards, defect-detection systems, and real-time quality monitoring.
Lead line-side problem solving during prototype, pre-production, ramp-up, and series production, including containment, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
Partner with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, BIW, Paint, Trim, Chassis, and Final Assembly teams on design-for-quality, manufacturability, dimensional quality, and build feasibility.
Validate critical assembly processes through error-proofing, poka-yoke, torque traceability, camera-based inspection, audits, training, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
5–7 years of experience in automotive assembly quality or manufacturing-quality engineering, preferably in a high-volume environment.
Experience with cross-functional vehicle systems and multi-stage quality assurance across BIW, Paint, Trim, Chassis, and Final Assembly.
Demonstrated ownership of manufacturing-quality issues from identification through containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and verified closure.
Deep knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R, and statistical process control.
Experience with 8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5-Why, and FMEA facilitation.
Ability to evaluate quality, production, timing, cost, and technical trade-offs, adapt established approaches, and recommend actions.
Proficiency with quality data systems, manufacturing-execution systems, and dashboards.
Working knowledge of CAD tools, engineering drawings, or component and process specifications.
Strong cross-functional communication skills, ability to work with limited day-to-day direction, and willingness to escalate risks at critical decision points.
Minimum High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
Nice to have
