Director, Digital Plant Lead (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Available in 4 locations; additional US location compensation information is provided. No relocation; travel requirements are 25%.

Salary: USD 173,200–272,600 base salary for the additional US location, plus potential annual bonus and long-term incentive.

What you will do

• Define business requirements for digital manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, including MES and ERP, in collaboration with site leaders and Research Laboratories IT.
• Develop integrated digital plant and virtual plant designs across research facilities, applying manufacturing and supply chain best practices.
• Align system implementations across sites and divisions to improve interoperability and the flow of information and materials.
• Drive business process harmonization and ensure master and transactional data is created and managed in enterprise systems.
• Define and track KPIs for enterprise system adoption and value generated through digital transformation.
• Document requirements, processes, and system architecture, and support training plans for enterprise system rollouts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in digital manufacturing support, plant automation, or a related technical field.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain.
• Proven ability to gather complex requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translate them into user requirements and system specifications.
• Experience supporting the introduction or substantial upgrade of enterprise systems such as MES, ERP, or related systems is strongly preferred.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships and influence diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive change and execute priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior executives.
• Independent decision-making skills and a proactive approach to leading projects and delivering results.
• PhD with 4+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field.

• Understanding of manufacturing across small-molecule, large-molecule, and vaccine modalities.
