Design Project Director (Life Sciences)

Location: Hybrid, Apex, North Carolina, United States; periodic travel to client sites is required.

What you will do

• Represent hirify.global with clients, support business development, secure new projects, and deliver project services.
• Lead and oversee projects across design, preconstruction, construction administration, CQV, and the wider project life cycle.
• Apply expertise in architecture, project management, project controls, and design management.
• Develop scopes of work, proposals, schedules, cost estimates, and project delivery strategies.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, allocate resources, maintain quality standards, and mentor project management staff.
• Build client relationships through outreach, presentations, and participation in technical committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, architecture, or an engineering discipline is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience working on projects in a cGMP-regulated environment.
• Previous experience providing project management services to clients.
• Experience acting as a Project Leader on multiple life science projects.
• Understanding of project execution methodologies for cGMP life science facilities.
• Broad experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams on life science projects.
• Excellent communication, documentation, people, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong time management, self-direction, results orientation, quality focus, forward planning, and ability to assess performance and resolve project issues.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel as required by project and company needs.
