Full-Stack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in the National Capital Region, Honolulu, HI, and the San Diego area; two positions in the National Capital Region include 50% travel, and one position is based with the USPACOM development team in Honolulu. Work takes place in secure facilities and may require periodic travel.

What you will do

• Build full-stack features for Target Effect Pairing, delivering traceable and auditable AI recommendations through the Maven Smart System.
• Develop backend microservices, message-driven services, workflows, and agent orchestration that recompute recommendations quickly when inputs change.
• Build React and TypeScript interfaces with comparative and geospatial views that help operators understand recommendations and their underlying inputs and logic.
• Implement workflow designs from the Senior UX Designer and collaborate with architects, the Systems Integration Engineer, the Product Manager, and Fires SMEs.
• Measure performance, prevent regressions, and ensure orchestration steps leave records suitable for audit.
• Write automated tests, participate in reviews, document work for engineers in both locations, and deploy code through the delivery pipeline into secure environments.

Requirements

• Proven ability to drive progress and create clarity in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Ability to maintain required TS/SCI access.

Nice to have

• Production experience building and shipping full-stack applications, with backend services in Go, Java, or Python.
• Experience building microservices or message-driven systems that operate under real load.
• Experience building data-dense React and TypeScript interfaces for comparing options.
• Experience creating geospatial visualizations with CesiumJS, Mapbox, or similar technologies.
• Experience with workflow or agent orchestration frameworks.
• Experience tuning performance and demonstrating measured results.
• Experience implementing designer-created interfaces and constructively challenging designs when needed.
• Experience in secure or classified Department of War environments or with the Maven Smart System.
