Senior Sales Engineer, Japan (Cybersecurity)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; candidates must be based in Tokyo. Regional travel may be required 50% of the time.

What you will do

• Engage prospective enterprise customers, understand requirements, answer technical questions, and demonstrate cybersecurity capabilities.
• Plan and manage proof-of-value initiatives and intricate enterprise pilots.
• Develop customer use cases, deliver demo presentations, and facilitate solution onboarding.
• Resolve critical analytical, technical, and operational challenges.
• Promote user adoption across multiple use cases and collaborate with Japan account teams.
• Travel throughout the region when required, approximately 50% of the time.

Requirements

• Cybersecurity experience and a demonstrable technical skill set, including completed work or interesting projects.
• Experience in a sales engineering role, or in consulting involving cybersecurity solutions or services.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent education and experience; MA/MS is preferred.
• Technical skills in RESTful API integration and security analysis, including areas such as security event monitoring and log analysis, incident response and forensic analysis, malware analysis, or vulnerability assessment.
• Proficiency with AI tools and AI-driven deployments.
• Experience in an analytical role in intelligence, military, cyber, or business operations.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, from engineers and analysts to managers and top executives.
• Mid- to senior-level experience, with 5–15 years of work experience including at least 3 years in presales.
• Experience in solutioning, development, implementation, or operations related to SOC operations, cybersecurity system administration and engineering, vulnerability assessment and analysis, incident response, penetration testing, forensics analysis, malware analysis, threat hunting and research, or payment fraud monitoring in banking or finance.
